Caswell Council for the Arts
The Caswell Council for the Arts sponsors and encourages cultural education and activities in Caswell County and surrounding areas in order to increase arts awareness, educate the citizenry, provide positive opportunities for exposure to the arts, and nurture local creative expression. As one part of this mission, the Caswell Council for the Arts collects visual art pieces that are exhibited in their Caswell County Civic Center offices and gallery spaces and in local public buildings. Works in this permanent collection include pieces by Caswell County natives Maud Gatewood and Louella Vernon.

Caswell County Historical Association, Inc.
Richmond-Miles History Museum

Organized in 1956, the Caswell County Historical Association (CCHA) owns and operates the Richmond-Miles History Museum in the Graves-Florance-Gatewood House (former home of artist Maud Gatewood) in Yanceyville, North Carolina. The CCHA promotes the study of local history and genealogy, the collection and interpretation of local historical artifacts, and the preservation of local historical structures.

Thomas Day House - Union Tavern Restoration, Inc.
Thomas Day House/Union Tavern Restoration, Inc., seeks to restore The Thomas Day House/Union Tavern to conserve its historic significance both as the oldest extant building in Milton, NC, and as the former home and workplace of Thomas Day, the famous antebellum free black furniture craftsman and entrepreneur. Upon completion of the restoration, this organization will operate the building as a museum exhibiting artifacts and interpreting the life of Thomas Day as well as provide educational programming and fiscal support.
