General William C. Lee Airborne Museum
The General William C. Lee Airborne Museum commemorates the outstanding life and contributions of Dunn native Major General William C. Lee, the "Father of the American Airborne." The museum houses a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia of Lees and representative of airborne activity from its early days through the present, preserves the house in Dunn in which Lee lived for many years, and provides tours, programs, and other educational opportunities for scholars, children, and the general public.

Erwin Historical Society
Erwin History Museum

The Erwin History Museum collects, preserves, and displays items of historical significance related to old Averasboro, Duke and the early Erwin area community. The museum seeks to increase interest in and raise awareness of historical research in these areas by means of educational programs, workshops, and the publication of historical data.

Averasboro Battlefield Commission
Averasboro Civil War Battlefield and Museum

The Averasboro Battlefield Commission serves to preserve, expand, and promote historic sites in the Averasboro area, specifically the battlefield and associated landmarks. The organization maintains several historic sites in both Cumberland and Harnett Counties, numerous monuments and historic structures, and a museum that collects and interprets artifacts, photographs, and other materials related to the Battle of Averasboro.

Hammerstone Scout Museum
The Hammerstone Scout Museum collects, preserves, and exhibits artifacts, publications, and memorabilia and promotes scholarship and research concerning the scout movement in the United States. Collections include but are not limited to uniforms, medals, merit badges, patches, flags, awards, insignia, and unique hand-crafted items. This museum celebrates and documents scouting nationally working cooperatively with BSA, the local Occoneechee Council, and other interested organizations and individuals. The museum is open by appointment.

Harnett County Public Library
Local History/Genealogy Collection

The Local History Room at HCPL provides basic research materials historians and genealogists with an emphasis on Harnett County and the Cape Fear Valley. Unique materials in the HCPL collection include a Vertical File, an Obituary File, Picture File (from the collections of the late Talbott McNeill Stewart and Luci Uzzle, which are viewable on the library's online catalog. The library also has a small collection of old and new maps as well as a few local schools' Yearbooks. The Library also has a folder for each senior class of Lillington High School 1944-1977.

Marvin Johnson's Gourd Museum
The Gourd Museum houses and exhibits the personal collection of gourds and gourd art of the late Marvin Johnson, who started the Gourd Museum in 1965 with his wife, Mary, after they decided there were too many gourds cluttering up the house. Marvin Johnson's collection was recently moved to the Angier Municipal Building, which is located in downtown Angier at the intersection of Highways 210 and 55.

Town of Angier
Historic Angier Depot and Williams Grove School

Angier, the Town of Crepe Myrtles, is dedicated to celebrating its history and to preserving its Historic Angier Depot and its remaining traditional late 19th century one-room school, the Williams Grove School. Historic Angier Depot is home to Angier's Chamber of Commerce and is open to the public. The Williams Grove School is located in Angier's Yesteryear Park and is open by appointment.

Campbell University
Lundy-Fetterman School of Business - Lundy-Fetterman Museum

The Lundy-Fetterman Museum and Exhibit Hall displays part of Burrows T. and Mabel Lundy's collection of mounted wildlife specimens gathered on safari, on trips to several continents, and on seafaring excursions. Exhibited mounts include a polar bear, a gazelle, leopard, zebra, lions, and rhinoceros, a blue marlin and barracuda, and the entire collection includes over 175 pieces. The museum is dedicated to sharing the collection with the local community and to teaching young people about the natural world and the beauty and wonder of wildlife.
