Foscue Plantation House Restoration Foscue Plantation House
Built in 1803, Foscue Plantation House, the first brick structure in Jones County, was constructed with materials from the plantation and features unique architectural characteristics. Although the house has remained in the family for two hundred years, the Foscues moved to High Point during the Civil War when the Federal army used the house as a hospital. The house, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, has been restored and exhibits both original Foscue family artifacts and period pieces.
