House in the Horseshoe State Historic Site
The House in the Horseshoe State Historic Site, also known as the Alston House, is a two-story eighteenth-century frame plantation house and former home of Revolutionary Whig Colonel Philip Alston and later of Gov. Benjamin Williams. The home still bears the scars of the Revolutionary battle fought there between Alston and legendary Tory leader David Fanning on July 29, 1781.

Malcolm Blue Farm and Museum
The Malcolm Blue Farm and Museum interprets nineteenth century life in Moore County through the collection, preservation, and utilization of artifacts significant to the rural history of Moore County, through folklife programs that demonstrate the culture of the area, and through agriculture demonstrations that show the methods, crops, and farm activities typical of the early Pine Barrens (Sandhills) life. Topics on which the museum focuses include naval stores (turpentine), the civil war's impact on the region, Scottish heritage, and the evolving economy of the area. The Malcolm Blue farmhouse, c.1825, is one of the few remaining examples of 19th century Scottish farm homes in the Sandhills.

Jugtown Pottery Museum
Jugtown Pottery is located in a grove of trees and bamboo eight miles south of Seagrove, NC, in the community of Westmoore. It is just off Busbee Road, a road named for Jacques and Juliana Busbee, the founders of Jugtown. Both artists with a love of pottery, they opened Jugtown in 1922. Today Jugtown follows the same approach to pottery as laid out by the Busbees--form first, a simple continuous line, a complimentary glaze, and occasional decoration. The Jugtown Pottery Museum honors the Jugtown tradition, celebrates the lives and work of the original Jugtown potters, and exhibits and interprets a large collection of original pieces of pottery and other historic artifacts.
