Person County Museum of History
The purpose of the Person County Museum of History is to foster an appreciation of the diverse character and meaning of Person County's cultural heritage and to preserve and revitalize the usefulness and or livability of some of the historic sites, buildings, and dwellings still existent in Person County communities. The museum seeks to take a leadership role in educating the people of Person County about its history through the exhibition and interpretation of artifacts and in saving Person County's remaining historic environments.

Special Collections at SPCC LRC consist of the Linn Garibaldi Collection, the Frank Clark Collection, and the College History Collection. Linn Garibaldi was the first president of the Board of Directors when the school was Anson Tech in 1963. Frank Clark was a local land surveyor in the 1940's and 1950's.

Person County Public Library North Carolina Room
The North Carolina Room of the Person County Public Library seeks to provide researchers materials necessary for the study of North Carolina, Person County, local history, and genealogy. The collection includes general reference sources, maps, newspapers, microfilm, county records abstracts, local family histories, and vertical subject files.
