Mexico Cardenas Museum

The Mexico Cardenas Museum honors Lazaro Cardenas, president of Mexico from 1934-1940 and personal friend to William Cameron Townsend, founder of Wycliffe Bible Translators and the Summer Institute of Linguistics. Cardenas supported Townsend's efforts to bring a written language, education and health services to more remote areas of Mexico. Pictures, artifacts, folk art and costumes illustrate the talents of the indigenous people of Mexico. Translations of the Bible in the various dialects discovered in Mexico by SIL are also on display in the museum.
