Vance County Historical Museum
The Vance County Historical Museum collects, preserves, and displays materials pertaining to Vance County History. A project of the Vance County Historical Society, the museum exhibits pre-history to the present, focusing on the military, local industry, social and civil organizations and highlights of local history. Historic properties are also a focus of the museum.

H. Leslie Perry Memorial Library North Carolina History Room
The Thomas B. Rose Local History Room houses a collection of non-circulating materials relating to the history of Vance County and its people. Items of interest include all extant Henderson newspapers on microfilm and the U.S. Census for Vance and its parent counties. North Carolina and genealogy reference materials, as well as scrapbooks, local publications and vertical files, are also available.

Kerr Lake State Recreation Area Visitors Center
Kerr Lake State Recreation Area protects North Carolina's natural diversity, promotes outdoor recreation opportunities, and encourages good stewardship of North Carolina's natural and cultural resources for all citizens and visitors of North Carolina. The Visitor Center currently makes available information about local history, early rural life, and animals native to the area. Environmental education resources are also available.

Vance-Granville Community College Learning Resources Center
The Learning Resources Center at the Vance-Granville Community College supports the curriculum by providing appropriate text, journals and microfilm to students, faculty and researchers. Unique items in this collection would include a small North Carolina reference section, subject vertical files, a large reproduction portrait collection, and the college scrapbooks.

Henderson Institute Historical Museum
The Henderson Institute Historical Museum collects, preserves and displays artifacts, oral and written records, photographs and printed material regarding the education of African Americans in Vance County. The structure, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, houses class photographs, yearbooks, artifacts from Jubilee Hospital, materials donated from alumnus and a research center. Also included in the collection are portraits of the administration and items from the Delany sisters' estates.
